Why exists
We have worked with and for SMEs for over 30 years: in IT, in human resources, in accounting and in auditing. Over that time we kept running into the same problem.
The software you could afford was narrow. It was enough for the essentials. But as soon as you wanted more, such as clean payroll, time tracking, documents you can actually find again, or a quote that turns into an invoice without retyping, trouble began. Then came an add-on module, an interface, a day of consulting, a second contract. In the end you paid many times the price that had lured you in. A few francs per payslip sounds harmless. Multiply by the employees, then by twelve months, and suddenly there is a sum nobody saw at the start.
The other side existed too: systems that really can do everything. They are built for large corporations and cost accordingly. For a company with 150 employees, tens of thousands of francs add up quickly in the first year, before a single salary has been paid.
We searched for a long time and found nothing equivalent. It was either cheap and incomplete, or complete and unaffordable. Frankly, we find that sad. Hundreds of thousands of Swiss SMEs carry this country, and the good tools stay reserved for those with the biggest budgets. For years nobody changed that, because surcharges earn more than fair prices.
We want to change that.
How work should feel
We are dyed-in-the-wool Apple users. We are used to devices and programs simply working together: you sign in, and it works. That is exactly the feeling we wanted to recreate for work in SMEs. You should feel at ease and be guided from the very first moment, and everything should fit together from the start. Nobody should have to be annoyed any more by interfaces that do not talk to each other, or by data imports that fail. Sign in, get started and enjoy your work more. And work differently.
Differently means above all: with AI. Many people already use AI chat today. Then they copy the answer from the chat into their software, field by field, and back again, because the software itself cannot do it, or only in a very limited way. With us it is different. Our AI runs in Switzerland and knows in detail. It answers questions and helps like good support. Above all, though, it does the work itself, across all apps. Today, tasks in the apps can already be completed simply by chat: “Record Lisa’s holiday for next week”, “Turn the quote for Moser Bakery into an invoice”. You see the proposal, confirm it, and it is done. No form, no menu, no switching back and forth. If you prefer to click, you click. Both work, at any time.
